CNG Fleet Conversion
In 2004, Rogue Disposal & Recycling created a plan to convert its fleet of trucks to operate on CNG (Compressed Natural Gas). By the time this initiative is completed in 2024, roughly 75% of the fleet will be converted.
By investing in the advanced technology required to switch from diesel fuel to CNG, the trucks will be able to run significantly quieter and cleaner than before. Since the Rogue Valley is ringed by mountains, air quality is an ever-present concern, and doing anything possible to help keep the air clean is crucial. Converting the trucks to use CNG as their fuel has greatly reduced particulate emissions.
